Job Description:
We are looking for a strong QA Engineer with 5–7 years of experience in software testing and a good understanding of data and databases. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in functional testing, SQL queries, database validation, and backend testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Validate data accuracy, consistency, completeness, and integrity.
- Write and execute SQL queries for backend data validation.
- Perform database testing and verify data stored in relational databases.
- Identify, document, track, and resolve defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
- Prepare and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and cross-functional teams to ensure product quality.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and support continuous quality improvement.
Required Skills:
- 5–7 years of experience in QA and software testing.
- Strong knowledge of manual testing, functional testing, and regression testing.
- Good SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
- Experience with database testing and data validation.
- Knowledge of backend testing and API testing.
- Experience with defect-tracking tools such as Jira.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Exposure to automation testing tools such as Selenium or Playwright.
- Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman.
- Understanding of data structures and data flows.
This is a remote position.
Compensation: $40.00 - $45.00 per hour
